This project explores a refined packaging system for Ghirardelli premium sauces, focusing on elevating everyday indulgence through form, color, and material clarity. The hexagonal bottle shape becomes a central design feature, creating a distinct shelf presence while subtly referencing craftsmanship and precision. Each flavor—White Chocolate, Chocolate, and Caramel—is differentiated through a controlled color palette that reflects the richness of the product inside, allowing the packaging to communicate taste visually before it’s even opened.
The label design balances heritage and modernity, drawing inspiration from Ghirardelli’s legacy while simplifying its visual language for a more contemporary audience. A bold geometric frame anchors the brand mark, while delicate linework hints at the Golden Gate Bridge, reinforcing the brand’s San Francisco roots without overwhelming the composition. Typography is intentionally restrained, combining elegant script with clean sans-serif elements to guide hierarchy and readability across both the front-facing identity and the informational back panel.
This system was designed with versatility and cohesion in mind, ensuring that each bottle works individually while also forming a unified set when displayed together. The consistent structure across flavors strengthens brand recognition, while subtle variations keep the experience dynamic. The result is a packaging solution that feels premium yet approachable—designed not only to hold a product, but to enhance the ritual of dessert-making and everyday moments of indulgence.
